This award is designed to recognise exemplary efforts in embodying compassion and love in action, highlighting outstanding contributions.
As Bishop John once said, “The measure of our love is not the service we render but the love we put into it.” ‘Caritas in Action’ is a testament to the values which are important in the Salford Diocese, serving as a response to the principles of Catholic Social Teaching.
This year, we are delighted to present our Caritas in Action Award to our wonderful Year 5 class in recognition of their inspiring work with the Salford Cathedral Singing Programme. As part of this special project, the children collaborated with musician Kathryn Bradley to write and perform a series of heartfelt and meaningful songs. Their creativity, teamwork, and compassion shone through every step of the process, truly embodying the values of Caritas and putting their faith into action through music.
